Oy, That does sound like a mess!  It's good that you're getting dbfitix...
That's what I was going to recommend.  Note that you CAN do a scan for free,
you just need the regcode for dbfitit to do the "fixit" part.  Also note
that it only scans databases (though if there's a corruption, it likely is a
database file).
I know my T5 does NOT play well with keyboard drivers.  Frustratingly, there
aren't really a lot of options for drivers either, you have to go with the
one for the device...  I actually have 2 different keyboards.  The newer one
is the Palm Universal Wireless and it came with the T5 3 or 4 years ago.
 The other is an older one, but it also is a Palm brand one.  They both work
fine, but cause havoc to the stability of my Palm.  It's been a while since
I messed with it, but I seem to remember that it especially interacted
strangely with Alex Pruss's myKbrd (grafitti replacement tool).

Anyway, after much trial and error I came the realization that I can only
use the keyboard if I
1. install it
2. use it
3. completely uninstall it after each use.
With is really too much of a hassle to be feasible.

Another thing I remember is that when it used to crash, it would also cause
a reset-crash loop.  The only way I could get rid of it was either a hard
reset, or a warm reset.  For a warm reset, hold the UP button while
resetting.  This starts the Palm without all of the extensions running, thus
allowing you to go in and delete the keyboard driver.  (I use Northglide's
UninstallManager so I get a good clean uninstall, but I imagine that using
the built-in uninstaller would work fine too.)

Anyhow... I can't speak as to whether the web apps might be playing a role
in your problems because my T5 isn't online.  From what you've described
though, I'd get rid of the keyboard driver and see if you can clean things
up--then systematically reintroduce the driver and see if that's th culprit.
 Think about investing in an SD card and a backup utility too :)  -sk
