    Very unlikely this is due to pedit or Memo32DB.  DBfixit will  
operate on Memo32DB if you can get the key.  As Steve pointed out, you  
can at least run a diagnostic with DBfixit without the key.

    If you get into a recursive reboot cycle SafeGuard will stop it  
and will usually be able to indicate the cause, and isolate  
("quarantine") it.

    Very likely. Regret to say, but in this kind of situation the only  
cure may be hard reset and clean reinstallation of apps and resetting  
of prefs.  Might you have a backup from prior to the onset of the  
problem?  Also,Steve's suggestion that the cause might be the keyboard  
driver is a good possibility, although you said, I think, that the  
same driver was ok before.
