Okay, so my last post wasn't really my last post. And it was too rude,
I know. But I was pretty po'd after spending hours on building that
large outline and afterwards hours for cleaning dupes over and over
again.

And before, it took quite a while to install the system which I'd like
to describe shortly (to explain why hotsync is so important).

You can install PDesk as a standalone app on a server. Just copy the
local installation from your desktop to the server (or a USB stick,
for that matter), delete the prefs file and it will run happily
without asking for a user. You can use it from any machine in a large
network without having to install anything on that machine. Nice.
Working with a keyboard is so much better than coping with crappy
Graffiti.
You can "sync" (on file level) via a batch file with the local copy in
your desktop's user directory. That file can be hotsynced with the
handheld. On the handheld, tasks can be auto-synced with the stock
Palm todos. The todos can be hotsynced with Outlook on your desktop.
They will even appear in Outlook's "Today" screen.

Would be a great system if it worked. The nonfunctional hotsync breaks
it. Please, please, please fix it.

Alex
