Below you will find a partial release notes update for 3.1 and 4.0. We have NOT settled on the feature set of 4.0 except that we have decided that Browser Launch will be in and, in fact, we have already completed it and it is in Beta testing (it turned out GREAT)! 3.1 will be out just as soon as we figure out the situation with the conduit and resolve a couple of minor Treo issues (they have different hard button labels/functions than all the other PDAs). One of the reasons we decided to implement Browser Launch for 4.0 our discovery of the wonderful FREE project 'nntprss': http://www.methodize.org/nntprss/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/nntprss/ This tool *should* allow for most users (anyone who interfaces with a host Windows PC to retrieve messages) to use Yanoff as an RSS reader! It works for conduit users just fine but we are having trouble getting it work through BlueTooth because for some reason the network connection through BT does not recognize localhost redirection (127.0.0.1). Not sure how it will work for direct Wi-Fi but we will test this soon. Once we figure all this out, then the only users who will not be able to RSS will be those who poll "live" over their Palm phones. But even for those users, if they are clever enough (be sure to let me know if you figure out how to do this), it should be possible to setup nntprss servers "live" over the internet. Once somebody documents this (we probably won't get around to it any time soon), every type of user will be able to RSS with Yanoff (or any other newsreader for that matter)! Although Browser Launch is a crucial supplement for RSS (because most RSS articles are composed of a teaser followed by a URL) and will be GREAT in 4.0, this RSS solution should work right now for any users of Yanoff (including GPL). So I encourage you to get your bug reports (3.1) and feature requests (4.0) in SOON!
