Here is the output of USBView on my Mandrake 9.1 linux box, using ethernet over USB, with usbnet module. My SL-5500 is seen as a USB v.2.00 device, even though the Dell desktop is old and only supports USB 1.1, as do the hubs that I have installed. My Zaurus has worked fine plugged into a direct USB port, and unpowered hub, and a powered hub.
