Re: Type I vs Type II wifi cards

I own a Linksys WCF11 with the default firmware (since I have no way to upgrade it via linux that I'm aware of).  On the version of Sharp ROM my PMT was shipped with, it was completely flaky and at best dropped the connection about every 60 seconds.  I soon switched to OZ had had no further problems until a few days ago (near 8 months of usage).  Now it is back to dropping the connection anytime it tries to pull more from wifi than SSH (ie NFS mount or streaming MP3s off my linux box).. I can't verify at this moment that it is truely the WCF11's fault rather than say not enough swap -- however, I haven't changed anything else on the device that should affect the stability of the connection.  I also use a Linksys BEFSR41 router and Linksys WAP11 access point, so one would think it would be pretty smooth..  To that end, I do not recommend the WCF11 but do not believe it is due to the type I vs type II issue you speak of.  Lost Confusious saying : but,. what the hell I know eh?
