Qtopiadesktop 1.7 / SuSE 9.0

I recently installed SuSE 9.0, and just installed qtopia-desktop 1.7 on top of 
that.  I have a 5500 with OZ3.2 (have not upgraded Opie yet, and will not do 
so until I can sync as is)

When I fire up qtopiadesktop I get this within about 10 seconds:

I tried to sync before it died and got this too:
==>Sync Manager flush timeout for QPE/Application/categories

Note that it does not crash until I turn on my Zaurus.  Also note that I can 
ssh, vnc, and ping my zaurus, so I know the network connection is good.  
Which puzzles me why those URL errors are happening, too.

BTW, also tried changing the timezone before it dies


qtopia-desktop 1.7 should work with OZ3.2, right?
