Man, I have not used the qtopiadesktop for a long time, but there is a feeds
definition for installing packages, and I think that is what the url
failures are about.  It cannot connect the the directories in the url.  Try
to start the qtopiadesktop, and go through the setup or preferences to see
what you can find.

The other stuff, I cannot help, sorry.  I'm using a 3.10 based ROM, and use
sftp, vnc, and rsync to backup and co-ordinate with my Mandrake box.
