Everyone will have their own recommended tutorial software.

Personally, I learned with Mavis Beacon.

Of course, I bought it new for my blazing 386-16 SX some 18 years ago.

Never did figure out what possessed me to spring for all four megs of 
memory.  That box never saw WinDoze, it ran just peachy with 640K.

I also bought a Northgate OmniKey Ultra, with the extra set of key caps 
so I could toggle to Dvorak mode (via dip switches, after powering down 
the 'puter).  After a month or so, though, I didn't need to look at the 
keyboard anymore, and these days even the MS Natural, with it's weird 
placement of 6 on the left hand, doesn't throw me off.

It's been quite a while since Mavis even offer Dvorak support, though 
strangely enough, these days she'll teach you Spanish!

Still, if you can find v5 (maybe ten bucks in the discount bin at Office 
Depot), give her a whirl.

Oh, I do recall seeing an app called "Typing of the Dead" a while back 
that was kinda funny.  Sort of a zombie tutor, you had to tap quickly & 
accurately enough to keep them from getting you.

BTW, has anyone played with Das Keyboard (www.daskeyboard.com) ???

It has no markings of any sort on the keys (though our 'U' & 'H' keys 
are curved a little differently), and supposedly sports an old IBM-style 
feel.  Was thinking of getting one, for the novelty if nothing else.
