RE: LIRC 0.10.1 seems to hate my remote..

These are MythTV system and I upgraded that from 0.27 to 0.30, at the same
time I decided to upgrade the rest of the system too.
To be fair, they are netbooted, and I archived the old "drives" and this is
a new install, so I could go backwards and see about upgrading the MythTV
install alone... not sure what other items would need to be upgraded as
well. Let me make a copy of that and see what I can do.. LOL

Still hoping to get an answer on the real issue though..

Well, it probably won't be the answer you look for, but I had a similar
problem with lirc_atiusb: worked fine for 10yrs but any update ended up in a
desaster; So I decided to freeze this box at Debian 5.0 and kernel 2.6.32
with lirc 0.8.5 - as it "just works perfectly" for more than 10yrs..
rather than to replace 15 working and proven remotes with all the logic
behind it..

Newer software is not always better :( and as this system isn't accesible
even from the "normal" LAN (or outside), having some spare HW, I'm pretty
fine with that.
