Hmmm, interesting. The last "regular" version was 2.2 (written as 222, 
the first digit "2" is the hardware revision). The 2.3 never left test 
status (http://dangerousprototypes.com/forum/index.php?topic=4024.0, see 
for example my posting (the last one)) and is not usable. 2.4 is an 
unofficial bugfix to 2.2. I have no idea was 2.5 is... Possibly your 
'Droid even have a bootloader?

(FYI, the IrDroid I bought perhaps 3 years ago came with 2.0)
