DCS80C400 won't boot - "ERROR Detecting RAM Size"

Hi,

I'm having some problems trying to get a DSTINIm400/DSTINIs400 to boot. I
loaded the Firmware Update, cleared the heap, and then loaded slush by
following instructions in the TINI Readme.txt. I had to try multiple times
to load the firmware and slush (about 3-5 times each) because I kept getting
a "No response from TINI board!" message during the loads. Eventually I got
them both to load without displaying any error messages.

Next I typed "E" to boot, and received a lot of garbled characters in the
JavaKit terminal. After pressing reset and "E" again, or cycling power, the
following messages come up on the console:

ERROR Detecting RAM Size

After retrying this process many times, I was actually able to get slush to
load once, and configure the network, etc. It all seemed to be working, but
then it died again the next day. Whenever I bring it up again now (or reset
and type "E") I get the same "ERROR Detecting RAM Size" messages as above.
I've tried reloading the firmware and slush, but this didn't help. Does
anyone know what's going on here?
