Anything in 10.72 you "really" need?  Just stay with what works.  8.61 was the last one I remember using, then I went to the Softools compiler.  Now I don't do anything except to support an Ethernet test box we made 10 years ago, but I am still using 8.61.

True, but there are a lot of libraries involved. This seems like something fairly basic, so I was hoping to avoid something like that.

I've tried turning on verbose in the IP, TCP, and ARP libraries. But nothing useful was revealed.

So far I've diff'd the dcrtcp.lib and dhcpd.lib lib's. No differences.
