  I really really really doubt that.  Faster than TCP/IP, no doubt, but
  not raw IP (or, for that matter, their own protocol over UDP/IP).
  Network protocols are exceptionally difficult to get right-- kind of
  like encryption algorithms-- and I always question someone that
  claims they can do much better.

  Security through obscurity isn't.
