I get HDNet from DirecTV. Every Tuesday morning at 8:00 ET, they air 10 minutes of test patterns. There is a company that modifies some DirecTV/Dish receivers to add firewire ports which allows recording of HD to DVHS or a PC/Mac hard drive. www.169time.com. I don't know much about it, some people are happy with it, some have had problems...
