In a case which could be similar to TB's, a company had a source license from one of its vendors and had copied some vendor source into its own. I've even seen a case where _noone_ had the rights to open up an old program, even though noone actually minded doing so. There old contracts that just didn't cover the possibility, and clearing up the legal mess would cost more than anyone was willing to pay. Arnt
