I am new to this newsgroup and have been listening with a smile on my face as the emails come in about experience design. I design for museum exhibitions - probably the field furthest from the digital world and our profession very much consider ourselves to be a designers of "experience." We "exhibitionists" have called it "4-dimensional design" - looking formally or informally at the amount of time and the quality of time people spend with the exhibitions we create as well as with the the people they came with to the exhibitions. There are even a number of researchers in the field measuring the "expereience." The last emailer, David Polinchock has put a wonderful face to it - we strive to engage our audiences in the telling of a good story using whatever media is applicable. On a lighter note, I call it "Design for human beans!" Jennie Zehmer WhorledPeas, Inc.
