I18n - any recommendations on approach with boa

Hi,
I am about to attempt to add languages to an existing application 
developed with Boa 0.61.

Can any one give some simple tips on the best approach using Boa?

I have only started reading about how to do this for wx applications 
today... and at the end of my reading and looking at the boa I18n 
example my question probably is,

Do I really have to edit all the text adding _('') by hand? 

Or is there a box somewhere I can tick and all my text will be converted....

hopefully there is - and the rest I will get sorted.

Don't suppose someone has a method for getting boa to use the project 
file to make the app.fil for mki18n.py? Or better yet has an automated 
way of running the gettext tools that are needed.
