Hi!
Another faceted classification to browse and search...
An example of a knowledge classification for humanities
(prototype) available at
http://www.ucl.ac.uk/fatks/database.htm

So far only religion is developed to a greater detail(over 2000
classes). But people on this list may be more
interested in browsing general concepts (properties, materials,
languages, persons, time, places, document form, etc.)

When applied for indexing, concepts from e.g. religion facets
are meant to be combined among themselves and with facets of general
concepts as well as with other area of knowledge from
broad classification of knowledge.

I think it would be useful to have
a look at the subject alphabetical index (automatically
displayed chain index)....Because of the
availability of general concepts one can try and search for
many very general term stone, water, day, January,
husband, mountain, river, down, upward, circle,
.... or very specific to religion
such as anointing, Haggadah, upavasa, unleavened (bread)
etc.

needless to say comments and suggestions are appreciated :-)

P.S. If you click to browse e.g. religion the whole
structure will be "pulled" and displayed so this may be a bit slow
to start with but after that it is possible
to collapse and expand classes and browse without any
delay... I don't know whether this is the best
approach

Thanks for playing.
