Those English-language posts are clearly intended for the broader audience, so, to put Alexander's stats into the proper context:

...these are produced over ~34,5 thousand units. However, omitted are no less than 36,6 thousand (ooo+mozilla suite), which are done 100% in academic literary norm (be). KDE (last time I looked) was also produced in academic. Please notice, too, that it's not "just the orthographies" that differ, but rather whole literary norms (cf. "Byelaruskaya mova. Lingvistychny kampyendyum", Minsk, 2003).

Having that said, the notion of creating the be@tarask locale is seconded, and thirded, and what have you.
