Just as a sidenote:
When using libnss-ldap there should be no need for that "complicated" 
vhosts.conf.template.
Since nameservice for all ISPMan accounts is available with libnss-ldap 
something like that should be sufficient:

User <perl>$servername</perl>
Group <perl>$ispmanDomain</perl>
