Please don't purge BeanShell 2.0b1 for Java 1.1. It is working perfectly
well.

How about renaming 2.0b1 to 1.4 and keeping it on CVS, as a 'legacy
technology branch' of BeanShell?
Just keep it there for the few who still need support for Java 1.1 (like
me). And if someone is willing to spend time on it, to keep the BeanShell
language at this branch at par with an upcoming 2.x version, let him/her
have a go at it.

BeanShell 1.4-, Java 1.1
BeanShell 2.0+, Java 1.3
