It is the java process and might be the utilty that checks out your code. In my case since I use cvs I am sometimes left with a hanging cvs process. Just let the server run and configure it to run as forced only. No need to kill it and start it manually. You can also use cruisecontrol config to pause the project's, without killing the cruisecontrol server. But I discover there is still a cruisecontrol process in background running. Just for information I do not use cruisecontrol as a windows service. What is this process and what is it doing ?
