moved to 0.7.0. This should be fairly easy with the RegEx stuff in JDK 1.4. We'll just have a 2d array of strings with one element being the emoticon and the other being the shortname to represent each one. This allows us to look in the themes directories for a set of emoticons rather than always having them inside the main www/images directory. We'll do the replacement when the message is posted.

Description:
It would be neat to have a simple filter that is executed with each display of a message to convert any standard emoticon into an image. This is related to a general feature request for filters that can handle such things as dirty word replacement.
