Do you know Adeptol? If not then please [see a nice demos|http://www.ajaxdocumentviewer.com/sampledemo/sampledocuments.asp]

Of course, if you ask to Sales Dep. then you might find out that it is a bit expensive. Maybe, that is the reason for not publishing the price on their web site. But it's a great product, no doubt.

And now, imagine that:

1) It is integrated with JIRA out of the box. So it may display issues on documents. And those issues may also be related to texts. And it cares about security, so it detects who is logged in JIRA and applies security schemes to ensure that only authorized users may create or display issues.

2) It provides a powerful Subversion server repository integration out of the box, so you may control who can ad new documents or read current ones.

3) Moreover PDF, it also displays MS Office 97-2010 documents (Excel, Power Point, Word), OpenOffice, source code with automatic syntax highlighting

4) Improved text selection

5) Compare document versions. Detect impacts on issues related to changed texts.

6) Awesome Subversion repository web client with statistics, revision graphs, and many other features. A web client repository explorer even more powerful than TortoiseSVN... it's not a joke.

And many other features, and FREE!

It is exists.

If you love your company then spend few seconds to look for it in the Atlassian's Plugin Exchange.
