I don't understand the question.  Surely you understand that the more data you have, the longer it's going to take to process it?  There's many factors - speed of server, database performance, memory available, complexity of data etc etc etc.

I've never seen a page of "cannot find server" unless I've been messing with my network.  The network has nothing to do with a server, so I'm lost.  Could you give us the full actual text, instead of a summary/translation, or better yet, a screenshot?

No, it's valid, but it is quite a significant jump.  I've done a small 3.9 to 4.2 upgrade once and only had problems with plugin data, and I'd expect 3.11 -> 4.3 to work fine.  But as you are having problems, I would actually try 3.11 -> 3.13, then take the 3.13 to 4.3.  You can do it with local standalone installs, there's no need to set up a full server with a proper database and so-on.
