FlexLM => FlexNet (macrovision.com)

I'm trying to implement my own licensing lib as alternative solution to 
  FlexLM (diploma thesis).

Since all existing licensing mechanisms rely on a (standalone) server, I 
was thinking into a different direction - why not use p2p structures to 
manage license keys and their use?
