Hi Robert, What docs exactly should I provide? The announcement I sent is about that I seem not to be able to translate 3.6 in time (before 4.0 release), not that I won't work on Russian translation in the future, for 4.0 release. What I sayd is that even with the help of a specialized translation memory application, translating Online Help takes heck lots of time, and my assumptions to be able to do it in my spare time fast were not realistic. Either it should have been full-time job, or I shouldn't have been hoping to make it fast. Currently I've created a filter to enable OmegaT (free Computer-Aided translation memory tool) work with .properties files, and I'm now finishing a program to import existing _ru.properties files into TMX (translation memory format in use by OmegaT). When I'll be ready with these helper tools and import all the past work, I'll sinch with 4.0 trunk and continue with it. Also it'd be nice to promote the existance of half-ready (one third-ready, actually ;-) ) Russian 3.6 for those who are interrested and call for help with Russian 4.0. ciao Maxym > Hi Maxym, > > Thank you for all the great work you have put into the translation. >I agree it would be a shame > for the Russian translation not to be carried on.
