Question regarding windowing system: old ui

Hello!

 

I currently use NetBeans and it's a wonderful application.  I used to
use NetBeans 3.4, but I just updated it yesterday to 3.6, and I was
curious if it would be possible for me to switch to the old UI /
windowing system that was in NetBeans 3.4 on NetBeans 3.6.  Is there any
way that I can do this via configuration or anything?  (I like the tabs,
but I find it much more convenient to be able to examine two different
files at the same time.)  Or is this just a core feature of 3.6 that
cannot be disabled?
