Ok. So I will comment all KB Meta tags from the fr docs. > > >> I proposed to create a xml that will do the corresponding between >> fr.netbeans.org website and xxx.netbeans.org >> But the dtd of that xml file is not defined. >> >> I propose a very simple xml structure: >> <pages translation="fr"> >> <page url="http://www.netbeans.org/.../.../afile.html" >> url-translation="http://fr.netbeans.org/.../frenchfile.html" /> >> ... >> <page .../> >> </pages> >> >> It's just a proposal. > > > Actually, I would prefer that the directory structure of www is > mirrored for lang.nb.org websites. Eg : > > On www, we have : www/www/kb/using-netbeans/index.html > > On fr, we have : fr/www//kb/using-netbeans/index.html I don't like the fact that directory structure of www is mirrored. Just because I would like to translate also documents that are not hosted in www module, like the Ant FAQ for example. And also it permits me to start from scratch and have a better site structure than the www one, at least for our site. And if you are changing the www structure, I have only to change the mapping.xml file and not all the structure. > or even : fr/www/kb/using-netbeans/index_fr.html > > What do you think ? The last option I suggest bcs that naming > scheme (_$lang) is quite standard online, maybe we should use > it even though we are on $lang.nb.org. Personally, I prefer fr/www/.../index.html The reason is the following: If I type the following url http://fr.netbeans.org/ I am sure that the main page will be displayed. Reason is that all browsers are configured to search the index.html > > Finally, as you know, we have not worked out a lot of the details > about how to handle and properly integrate our $lang.nb.org > websites. So we have to get it right! :-) OK. So i am waiting for your reaction about not mirroring [lang].netbeans.org.
