I don't like the fact that directory structure of www is mirrored.
Just because I would like to translate also documents that are not 
hosted in www module, like the Ant FAQ for example.
And also it permits me to start from scratch and have a better site 
structure than the www one, at least for our site.
And if you are changing the www structure, I have only to change the 
mapping.xml file and not all the structure.

Personally, I prefer fr/www/.../index.html
The reason is the following:
If I type the following url http://fr.netbeans.org/
I am sure that the main page will be displayed.
Reason is that all browsers are configured to search the index.html

OK. So i am waiting for your reaction about not mirroring 
[lang].netbeans.org.
But any other proposals are welcome.
