Okay, understood, thank you, anyway I will migrate my codes, for very better performance and compatibility.

Hi,
We are in the middle of moving to git !

BTW, here there is a hero that understand svngit in depth,
our current configuration script is
  [svn-remote "svn"]
         url = svn://svn.forge.objectweb.org/svnroot/asm
         fetch = trunk:refs/remotes/svn/trunk
         branches = branches/*:refs/remotes/svn/branches/*
         tags = tags/*:refs/remotes/svn/tags/*
but the branches of the resulting git repo are all the same :(

The project will still be hosted by OW2 but doing a clone on github and accepting contribution from the community will be far easier.

Given that ASM is widely used, all Java EE containers, spring, hibernate, jackson, etc, having a small number of changesets is IMO an indication that we have few bugs, no perf regression between versions, etc so it's more a good news than a problem.
Ultimately, the classfile format is only one chapter of the VM spec, so the diff between one version to another (every 3 years!) is often reduced to less than 5 pages.

cheers,
Rémi

Objet: [asm] A little suggestion about ASM Project
Hi, leaders:
    I am working an APM product, the BCI function of java agent depends on both ASM and Javassist partially .
    My test reveals that asm is more efficient and stable than Javassist and better compatibility with JDK 8,9
    So I am deciding whether to migrate the source codes in javassist to ASM.
    However when I check the svn of ASM, I found it was very slow to download the source code.
    And the iteration of source codes is very slow, only a few changesets per year.
    I am wondering whether the project is maintained actively.
    ASM is well designed with excellent implementation, I love it greatly.
    And would u plan to migrate the project to github and push the project more actively?
