It depends to what extent you are using OpenJMS's
facilities. If you are using NON_PERSISTENT messages,
and are not dynamically adding/removing administered
destinations or users you can probably get away with it.

If you are using PERSISTENT messages and/or the administration API
then you will likely experience message loss.
