  Though Youngho's question makes sense from a technical point of view, Nathan's makes sense from user's point of view.
  A user wants to be able to search for issues with a given attribute unset.
Thank for your clarification about blank attribute value.
Indeed, search for unset attribute for issues  is sometimes neccesary.
