problems with microphone

Well, finally i cant configure xtapi.inf for serial provider, now i have
another trouble. i heard incall/outcall perfectly but when i speak there is
no sound in the otherside of the line, i think the volume of sound in modem
is very low but im not sure about this. Someone have the same problem or
someone knows how to up the microphne sound for the modem? my english is too
bad, if i cant tell this in spanish perhaps you can understand me better.
