how to create a xml based on a schema?

Hi,
  I have a database of tables and fields.  I need to convert data from the database (MS SQL server 7) into xml files based on a schema.  There are some different between the structure of the schema and the database structure, however, i need to convert and map it together.

Can anyone advise on how can i do it?

I'm using Java and i have downloaded xerces parser.  When i try to read schema into a DOM tree, it doesn't display the element name.

Is there a way to do it??
