I stand corrected. In 44 they had regained all the territory invaded by the 
German army.

Not immediately after, and that doesn't really matter to how the US viewed to 
situation during the war, does it ?

I know about the Yalta summit, thank you :-). But I don't see how you can say 
that the US helped the Soviets in any way. Stalin was the strong man at 
Yalta, Churchill was hardly relevant and Roosevelt was near the end of his 
life. Stalin just officially took what he had gained militarily. The URL you 
give seems to support this.

Dictatorship ?? In the EU ? Even if we "falsely believe that we are free", I 
can assure you : the EU is just too much of a mess to ever be a 
dictatorship :-).
