Please correct me, but the paragraph "The KDE Software Compilation" in the 
rebranding announcement (http://dot.kde.org/2009/11/24/repositioning-kde-brand) 
said:

»The KDE community does regular releases of a core set of KDE software 
products. These releases are called the KDE Software Compilation and tagged 
with a version number, e.g. "The KDE community is releasing KDE Software 
Compilation 4.4". «

To me it sounds like the term Software Compilation (or simply SC) should be 
used in announcements and it is also the reason why we at kubuntu-de.org also 
used SC from then on in our news articles.
