TBH, I don't really follow the technology closely enough to be sure, but I /think/ domestic players have always been capable of reading dual layer disks. However, it's only recently that the writing technology has become cheap enough for the "average Joe". > media? Too often I see a post on lists saying "Got a problem with XYZ", then comes a follow up "Never mind, got it sorted" but they don't say what the issue was.
