KDE 3.1 and mouse pointer size

Hi,

I recently upgraded to Slackware 9.0 which comes with
KDE 3.1.  The first thing I like to do is increase the
size of the mouse pointer.  This helps to use/find the
mouse pointer while in X/KDE.  But for some reason the
setting is not taking place.  Has someone else
mentioned this on the list?  Thanks.
