Kpersonalizer

Hello, people
I'm new to Linux and KDE. I just installed KDE 3.0 and I think something went 
wrong because I can't get rid of the Kpersonalizer, I've tried following the 
steps, and then 'quit and keep' and 'quit and revert' as well, but nothing 
changes, at the next session there is the Personalizer again. I've been at 
kde.org and read a lot of documentation. I also edited my Inittab file and 
added the following line:
x:5:respawn:/opt/kde3/bin/kdm -nodaemon

Can you help me?
