I currently have a vista 20p, but I had a 21ip in the past. I would suggest
the 20p because with the 21ip you have to replace the whole board when the
GSM board gets too old and the providers decom the supported tech IE: 2g. I
don't know why, but this is what happened to me with my last 21ip. With
the 20p you can get an upgraded chip with a newer version if required and
use an external GSM module. If you want to have alarm monitoring service
over your wired internet connection only (no GSM or dial up over POTS line)
or you can use the wired connection as a backup, then the 21ip is the way
to go. You can't do anything else with the wired IP connection, it will
only communicate with the total connect service.

To interface with MH, you can get one of the AD2x interface modules which
connects like another key pad. This module will work with either the 20p or
21ip and I assume many more. I wrote a good bit of the AD2x interface MH
code, I have been using this setup for years, and it works well. I
currently have the AD2pHAT on a Pi mounted in the alarm panel and the Pi is
just running ser2sock powered by the "DC Power Adapter", but it looks like
they have an AD2IOT which would probably be better suited.
