As Joe Wells already mentioned: this should already be the case. Workrave 
resets the timer to 0 if you are idle for at least the break duration (if 
'Suspend timer when inactive' is turned on)

Indeed. It seems you are not the only one who want this feature: 
http://issues.workrave.org/show_bug.cgi?id=350 (reported in 2004.....)

I'm trying find a balance between features and simplicity (i.e ease of 
use/configuration). Some people already complain that Workrave has too many 
options to configure. I expect that only very few people will use this feature 
(and people will accidentally enable this feature and then complain...).  So 
I'm not sure about this. Though I agree that postponing is sometimes way too 
easy :-)
