Progress on Sprint LG Lotus support?

Is support for this phone in the works or currently awaiting the loan of a phone?
Sprint has the LG Lotus locked down pretty tight. The only workaround I've found for ringtones is to change the .mp3 extension to .3g2 then put them in the first folder under DCIM on the micro SD card, then add them as "video" ringtones.
