Ay ? lost you half way through :-) The problem (as I understood it) reported was that the CNMI command issued by Kannel doesn't "stick" - that is, the modem reported OK, but still delivers to SIM memory. I've noticed this happening a couple of times on my system, and as I understand - the user whos email I forwarded uses a modem (Nokia 22) that will always report CNMI mode set successfuly and still deliver to SIM memory.
