Hi, Giving you a bit more background around the "Join Firefox" concept that you find in the new about:welcome. Because the invitation to “Join Firefox” doesn’t work in every language, the purpose of this message is to provide context and enable localizers to develop the best options in their own languages. When we say “Join Firefox,” at a very practical level, we want people to sign up for an account, and be signed-in or logged-in when they’re online. This enables them to get more features and benefits from each and every Firefox product, and enables us to make sure they are smarter and safer online through the high quality content we’ll share with them through emails and eventually in-product communications. We want people to feel a sense of empowerment and belonging to a community of other people who also value being safe, smart and strong online. From a more emotional standpoint, we also want people to join Firefox in our commitment to keep the internet safer for everyone, because we know when we feel safe, we have the peace of mind and confidence to relax and enjoy being online. Last but not least, we want people to join Firefox in taking a stand against the abusive practices of Big Tech who are using our data without our permission and against us every day in order to make more money for their shareholders and their bottom line. To give you a few example of alternative headlines for Germans, depending on the context where the message appears: - Nutze Firefox (Use Firefox) - Mach mit bei Firefox (Participate in Firefox) - Firefox beitreten (Enter Firefox) Please reach out if you have any doubts, we can relay questions and concerns to the marketing/branding team.
