I am using mozilla nightlies myself, with no problems sofar, but I am forced to use WinXP so I can't explain (yet) what is going on. Hey, can you e-mail me your install.log (mozilla directory) and chrome.rdf (profile directory)? This can be a permission issue. Did you install as root?
