multizilla and OS X 10.3.5

i am running the following versions:

mozilla: 1.7.2
multizilla: 1.6.4.0b
OS X: 10.3.5

i am trying to disable tab cycling and enable cmd
right/left click for 
'back' and 'forward' functionality. i have placed a
check mark in 
preferences -> multizilla -> tabs -> 'disable
tab-cycling' check box. 
however when i save my preferences and restart mozilla
i still get the 
tab cycling functionality.

please advise.
