External link redirection not working

I have Multizilla 1.6.4.0b installed on Mozilla 1.7.2 on Windows 2000
Pro with all updates, and the external link redirection to a new tab
stopped working.  I don't know why, and all appropriate settings
related to redirecting external links to tabs are still checked.  I
have not been able to discern the problem, and this is the main reason
that I use Multizilla.  Any help would be appreciated.
