True, we are not very good on communication on this one. Actually, when 
I explained it to people around me, those all got away with "this is a 
good strategy", even those who were quite doubtful before.

I still want to write up a blog post on how I believe this new process 
makes Firefox more stable, but reading discussions like that and still 
needing to move forward with my work make it difficult to find the time...

Don't be too hard with him. Even though he's a product manager nowadays, 
he's an emotional person who sometimes happens to overstate things to 
point out a strong view he has more clearly. I have done the same on 
multiple occasions and know how hard it is to restrain oneself and that 
one sometimes fails to do so, and how easily this all backfires. We're 
all humans here, so let's treat each other that way. Don't ask "Have you 
completely lost your mind?" but ask "How do you get to this conclusion 
and what will this achieve?" instead. ;-)
