Does OS X pull the stupid Windows trick of hiding filename extensions,
so the name isn’t what you think it is? (In this case, it might be
something like “MenuNormal.png.png”.)
Open a terminal window, go to the directory containing the file, and use
the “ls” command—that should show the real name of the file. Also try
display MenuNormal.png
which uses the ImageMagick “display” command. This should show the file
in an on-screen window, just to prove that ImageMagick is actually working.
